Tour description:
Upon taking this tour, you will depart at your hotel by the mentioned mean above with your tour guide to Vinh Long province, where may not be the largest town in the Mekong but as a major transit hub. It can be noisy and chaos, we plan to take small road, which are full of lush greenery, fruit trees and rice field (only for scooter or private car option).
After that we will head off to Vinh Long city, situated between Can Tho and My Tho; However, we will not be off here cause the town is not very spectacular. We will take the public ferry to go to one of the beautiful island, dotting the Tien river, named An Binh. This island is as known as the key dedication agriculture, especially the tropical growing of tropical fruits such as pomelo, rambutan, longan, to name just the few, which are shipped to markets in HCM city and others province in the Mekong Delta.
On arrival, you will stay in a homestay, which is set in a picturesque tropical garden with plenty of hammocks as well as tables and chairs dotted about and are most conductive to resting. At here, you can experience river life, enjoy the family atmosphere, and learn and share the home cooked meal with the local family (if requested).
You won’t be staying in the family home but in a specially constructed accommodation, which is more akin to rudimentary hostel. The homestay has large communal room with bunks, some private rooms share clean bathroom facilities. There also have a fan and mosquito net. For dinner in the garden, you would be usually served the most incredibly fresh dinner of the best spring roll, amazing fish, succulent chicken, chicken cooked with fish sauce soup and rice. Breakfast is like everywhere in Vietnam: baguette, omelette, jam.
You can help yourself to cols drink from the fried and mark what you’ve on the piece of paper to pay on check out. More importantly, the family was very attentive and friendly. If you arrive here in the morning or afternoon, you will be provided a bike to tour the island which are connected by bridge, so can spend a good part of the day touring around. I bet you will not be disappointed cause the island is great for cycling itself.
