DAY 01: HO CHI MINH CITY – CAN THO
Option 1: HCMC – XEO QUYT – SA DEC – CAN THO (L)
7:00am, meeting our tour guide and driver in the city center and depart for Xeo Quyt forest. In the sunny season, you can take a walking through the small paths under the shadow of the forest. In the rainy season, using a small sampan via the creeks to Xeo Quyt forest. Besides seeing the remains of the War in Xeo Quyt, tourists also can see its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Having lunch at restaurant and enjoy local cuisine in Dong Thap.
In the afternoon, transfer to Sadec – an ancient town in Mekong Delta, famous for the colonial legacy that has been partly preserved for a long time. Stop at an old Chinese pagoda – Kien An Cung to learn more about Chinese people in Mekong Delta. Continue your trip to Huynh Thuy Le ancient house – “The Chinese house” described in the famous novel of Marguerite Duras – “The Lover”. Transfer to Can Tho city, check-in at the hotel.
Night at Can Tho.
Option 2: HCMC – BEN TRE – CAN THO (L)
8:00 am, pick you up at the hotel. Head to Ben Tre – a charming welcomed town in Mekong Delta (nearly 2 hours driving). Arrival at Ben Tre town, take a wooden motor boat on a tributary of the Mekong River. Sight-seeing lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring… Stop at brickwork to see workers make bricks in handy traditional method. Visit one of coconut processing workshops, taste some coconut candies and fragrant hot tea. Go on natural scissors canals spreading out to rural village, stop at a quiet village and experience the real delta village life. Visit a mat weaving house, enjoying fruits and chatting with local people. Riding on motorcar on a shady road, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains. Lunch at local restaurant. Back to pier by sampan (rowing boat) and boat, meet the car. Transfer to Can Tho city, check-in at the hotel.

DAY 02: CAN THO – HO CHI MINH CITY
Option 1: CAN THO – CAI RANG – PHONG DIEN – HCMC (B/L)
From the quay, board a small boat for a special trip visiting the largest marketplace on water – Cai Rang “floating market”. Continue to Phong Dien floating market by boat to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as well as natural scenery among many traditional wooden boats that are full of tropical fruits and vegetables. You will visit a small canal to know about the life of the local people and visit fruit garden where you can see many fruit plants (depend on the fruit season). You also can take a rest and have something to eat or drink if you want to order by your own. Then cruise through small natural creeks to visit rice noodle factory and learn the way rice noodles are made locally. Take a boat ride back. End tour. After the tour we can help you book the bus ticket with Futa bus, express bus, to come back to HCMC (no tour guide).
Option 2: CAN THO – BINH THUY – SON ISLET – HCMC (B/L)
From the quay, board a motor boat for a special trip visiting the largest marketplace on water – Cai Rang “floating market”. Then cruise through small natural creeks to visit rice noodle factory and learn the way rice noodles are made locally. Transfer to Binh Thuy, stop at Long Tuyen ancient village, a trace of the Franco-Vietnamese acculturation. After that, move to Binh Thuy temple where the locals celebrate their traditional festivals of year. The other destination is the Duong family’s ancient house, which was the scene of Jean-Jacques Annaud’s film “L’amant” (novel on the love story of Marguerite Duras). Then spend time to taste coffee in “Mộc” Cafe and listen to the story of former landowners. Transfer to Co Bac Boat Station to visit Son islet. The islet is 600 meters away from the river bank and it takes 5-10 minutes by boat from Huynh Man Dat Boat Station and we will stop by a floating house (7 Bon – fish farm) on the Hau River. Talking to local farmers about how they take care of their gardens then gathering fruits and tasting them. Visiting other local houses, you can go fishing with them and learn how to make your own Vietnamese traditional cake. Enjoy your lunch at people house. End tour. After the tour we can help you book the bus ticket with Futa bus, express bus, to come back to HCMC (no tour guide).
