Tour Description
For those wanting to complete experience of Mekong river life and countryside views, this trip will bring you from a busy and crowded city to a charming atmos-phere in countryside with numerous natural and beautiful sceneries. To be more spe-cific about the trip, we plan to take you to some following destinations. This trip will start at our office.
Firstly, you will go to visit a fruit garden by taxi to avoid the busy and crowded of city traffic. When you come to the garden, you will walk around to see the mangosteens which were planted about 30-50 years ago, orange-trees, star apple, jackfruit… From there, you will take the bicycle to weave through the villag-es, fruit gardens, or you also can go to visit the paddy fields if it’s the rice season.
Then, you will visit Gian Gua Remain Zone which was established about 100 years ago. During the war against America, it is a secret place for revolutionary activities, a place for Vietnamese army to meet, make plan to against enemy. Within the temple’s grounds stands a tiger statue where people come to worship.
Primarily people come to worship and pay their respects to a woman of history that local people refer to as the ‘fairy lady’. On the 28th of the second lunar month, a festival is held in Ba Tem-ple that draws people from all over the Delta and the burning of various items are done to to honor the Fairy Lady and Ho Chi Minh.
After visiting Gian Gua Remain Zone, you will ride bicycle along fruits gardens including guava, star apple… and then take Rach Sung ferry to pass Hau river and visit the Southern Truc Lam Zen Monastery which has many monks working.The monastery is an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign travelers.
Finally, you will ride along the river, which give you a chance to see a lot of rice mills, the factories producing wooden furnitures, to turn back the bicycle parking plot. You will leave the bicycles here and take the taxi to turn back you to our office. The trip will end up at the office
